Pre-Training and Training service for Thoroughbred Race Horses.
Lord Ben Farm was originally designed and developed as a breaking and pre-training centre for thoroughbred race horses. Dr Geoff Chapman was instrumental in developing a functional and top class facility which was financed by the then prominent owner Mr. John Denoon.
Since the current owners Professor Jack and Mrs Grace Richardson purchased the farm, further development has taken place.
The farm boasts a 1600 metre turf track and 1400 metre all-weather sand track which are both suitable to pre-train race horses right up to fast work stage.
Barriers are there to make sure all young horses accept and are confident to load into them. At times are older horses are worked out in big rolling paddocks so as to give them a break off the track as they are getting fit.
